PLAYING IN THE RAIN

As a child

We loved to Play

Sing and Dance

Frolicking in the rain

A treasured past time

Playing in the rain

We’d lay out

Our rain gear

As fast as we could

Boots and hats

On at last

In motion for the door

In a minute flat

Splashing in the puddles

Catching rain drops

Skip Hipidy Bop

Let’s play

Hop Scotch

Way more fun

Than playing in the Sun

Lookout rain drops

Here we come

    I can remember my sister and I playing in the rain and loving it right up until mum would yell for us to get inside – lovely piece, it really made me smile.
